The Japanese Romance is a DVD box set. It contains three Japanese romantic films—Station, the Yellow Handkerchief and the Distant Cry from Spring. This project focuses on the illustration and layout design of three DVD boxes, using a slipcase to compose them into one package. I drew watercolor landscapes that connect to the films for the DVD covers and used violets to represent love by Japanese culture for the slipcase. My illustration and design can deliver a sense of narrative and movement to the viewers.

这是一套DVD封面插图设计项目，它由三部日本爱情老电影组成，分别是《幸福的黄手绢》（1978）、《远山的呼唤》（1980）和《车站》（1981）。我为每一部电影绘制了一个DVD盒子封面，每一个封面都是跟电影相关的风景水彩画，且水彩的质感和水痕肌理能带来怀旧感，流动式的文字排版能让观者在安静的插图氛围中感受到一丝动感。我还用日本文化中代表爱情的紫罗兰花作为函套的封面设计元素，整体风格呈现一种宜动宜静的视觉效果。
