Yige (伊格) is a graphic designer and illustrator. She finished her graduate program and got a MFA degree in Graphic and Interactive Design in 2020 from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University. Approaching her work from the perspective of a storyteller, she uses design to create narratives which frequently invoke symbols of her heritage. The resulting objects are whimsical and functional, walking a line between reality and fantasy, education and play, curiosity and delight for a viewer of any age. Yige melds play, exploration, and delight together. Her skill as a storyteller is intertwined throughout her body of work, imbuing practicality and functionality with myth and magic, and playful interaction with educational illumination.
